Skin Essentials - Lips Chapped?

I don’t endorse a lot of products and the like, but in this winter season, lips tend to get dry and “chappy”. Sometimes, it can be painful and even bleed if it has gotten real bad. Remember, we’re trying to be naturally beautiful inside and out. So, first things first. What causes dry chapped lips?

* cold, dry weather
* consuming salty foods
* licking lips often
* using make-up that has not been stored properly (yes, it is so!)

Chapped Lips

Here’s how to rid urself of a dry lip: (unfortunately, in terrible cases, relief doesn’t come over night)
  • intake enough water, or even more when consuming salty foods (half of ur weight in ounces) (example: you’re 120lbs. Half of that is 60lbs, convert that to ounces and you drink 60oz of water a day, BOOM!)
  • moisturize your lips with shea butter or olive oil for your lips. I’ve used Vitamin E oil on my lips overnight to help moisturize my lips for the next day.  Refrain from using petroleum jelly based glosses and balms. J
  • STOP LICKING UR LIPS, ur not LL and u don’t look cool doing it either.
  • Keep make-up in a cool environment, not to be confused with dry and cold environment.

Healthy Looking Lips

Speaking of LL has me licking my lips now. Lol.  Gotta have soft kissable lips. And ladies, all the extra hooplah on the lips isn’t really that necessary. But sometimes I feel we dress for each other and not for self. But to each his own. Hope this helped, MuAh!
