Hair Essentials - Flat Twist and Twist Outs

This is a cute natural do that can last for the week, granted if someone isn't passionately kissing you and messes up the flat twist in the back of your head. Otherwise, you'd be good money. Here's what to do to achieve this style:

Prep Time: 1 hr.
Styling Time: 15 mins.

Step 1: Make a path from the point of ur head on about 3 inches from ur ears and curve the down and over to behind the other ear about 4 inches from the nape of the neck. (sounds more difficult that it actually is) Be sure that when your making the path the hair that is left int he front is the hair that you want out on that particular side. If not, switch it up.

Step 2: Secure the hair on the top after moisturizing with your mositurizer of choice (I used water, As I Am Moisturizer and grease.)
Step 3: Flat twist the back of the hair starting from the nape of the neck towards the path previously made. Secure with a rubber band.
Step 4: Twist the ends of the hair that come from the flat twist.
Step 5: Twist the other section of hair so that the twists are coming forward towards your face or down to the ear that is on the final end of the original path.

To Style: just twist out the twists, use bobby pins to pin hair down in the direction of the hair that's out and Boom! A cute funky style for work, after work activities and easy to secure at night.

*Preparation for bed, you can fold your hair scarf and tie it Aunt Jemima style from the back and secure to the front UNDER the twist outs and then put your satin cap over the entire head; If twist outs are getting old, you can always moisturize hair and retwist before bed, then untwist in the morning*
