Hair Essentials - Other use for TWISTS!

Okay, I have been trying to get my ends under control for about 2-3 weeks or so. I was gonna just chop it off, but after a month of decent growth, I figured what I cld do is gradually cut it off. So,i my updated pic of the length of growth in a month, there should not be a whole lot of change.

The plan is to alternate between natural styles and pressing my hair. Yea, I know I know pressing can cause heat damage, but if I get it done well, it can last for two weeks and I can trim my hair when its pressed. Then I can wear a natural style and wear it pressed again and so on an so forth until I think I have snipped all the ends off that is causing me great headache. I made an apt for Thursday to get my hair pressed. Usually I press my hair myself, but I KNOW i'm going to be too lazy to do this, plus I need my hair to be professionally trimmed, so its about that time.

In the meantime, I tried something a little different. Remember, I complained about styling my hair completely wet and it looking puffy since it's unable to dry well. Well, that's how I first noticed my ends were going downhill again. So, I went old school. I co-washed my hair with "Az I Am" co-wash product and dried it in about 6-10 twists overnight.

Then I wore it in a puff on Friday at work (after carefully moisturizing with "Az I Am". This stuff smells great!

Then later Friday evening I twisted my hair and Saturday morning I pinned it up in order to secure my ends.

Natural Twists

Oops, my collar is in the way a little bit, but you get the gist.

This was pretty simple and easy. I just covered it with a satin cap at night to make life easier. This morning I'm going to take it down and re-pin it so my hair can breathe a little bit and to freshen the pin-up style. If I do something different I'll post it. But this is what I'll be rocking until my appt. this Thursday. Send me any twist pin-ups that u like. I could use more ideas. Thanks and MuAh!
