Hair Essentials - Natural Protective Styling

So we all want hairstyles that can be used to "protect" our hair. There are a few styles you can use to protect your hair. I've posted pics of my most recent protective style. This is what I did:

Prep Time : 0 minutes (can use on clean or dirty hair since no scalp is being shown and you may just need a quick style to do prior to washing your hair and doing a set or something)

Styling time: 10-20 minutes (the more familiar you are with your hair, the less time it takes) Took me 10 mins, if even

Step 1: Use fingers to make a U-part at the crown of the head and secure with a clip.

Step 2: Put your favorite moisturizer on the side of the hair and brush hair along the hairline.

Step 3: Brush hair back into a ponytail, scrunchy, whatever you may call it

Step 4: Use banana clip of your choice. Secure the banana clip around the ponytail.

Step 5: Remove the ponytail or scrunchy and separate hair

Step 6: Loosely french braid the hair secured in banana clip

Step 7: Secure the end of the braid along the side of the banana clip. Mine is to the right of the clip

Step 8: Take the clip out from the top of the hair that was previously finger-path and separated out

Step 9: Put moisturizer on the top front of the hair and lightly brush hair back by lifting the ends of the separated hair off the scalp

Step 10: Finger roll the end of the hair and gather at the top of the banana clip and secure covering the clasp of the banana clip.

Step 11: Add additional hair pins/clips to secure the hair

TADAAAA! And all of your hair is nicely and neatly tucked away. Also, put a wrap around the head...tightly at the base and loosely where u knot it at the FRONT of the head. If u tie the knot at the back of the head, u'd flatten the french braid. No bueno!

I hope the steps made it easier. If you need clarification with anything let me know. This is Day 2 of wearing this style and I took this pic after a day of wearing it. Stay naturally beautiful folks. MuAh & CiAo!
