Isn't it funny how some days go so badly, you pause to ask yourself, what else could possibly go wrong today! I have been experiencing some nauseau for some time now. Feeling physically sick becomes annoying after some time. Just to put it point blank. Then you get to work and it seems everyone has issues that must be resolved and being the helper I am, I feel like I need to address all these issues simultaneously.
For those who don't know, I'm a counselor/therapist, but i work as a Service Coordinator in DC with low-income individuals. Some of the clients may have a drug history, may be diagnosed with a mental illness, may have medical issues or any combination of the following. All in all, most if not all of them has experienced some traumatic event and I am there to help them work through this issues in a residential setting while they live independently. TOUGH WORK!
But, I also have my life on the side. I'm an active member at my home church and I do have friends outside of work and church so that definitely adds to my social life. I'm in the process of transitioning into a new role at my job and in so doing, I am just generally stressed out. On a day like today, I go outside t get my work keys which I forgot in my car and while talking with a contractor all I hear is SPLAT! I look up at the hood of my car and I promise you inches away is a big fat bird dropping. So, now I'm grossed out and blown! Lol. I'm laughing now because the moment has passed. But, I was so annoyed! LOL. I mean, on my way in to work, I was on the phone with my homie talking about what was stressing me out and it's almost like God was like, just relax, Take a load off! Lol.
So I titled this post Please excuse my emotions because in light of my "auntie coming into town" (some of you might miss that) I know that my emotions are at an all time high. But, everything will be back to regular in a couple weeks, so if you see me between now and then, PLEASE, excuse my emotions!
Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful day! Now to get some more work done.
