Winter Weather Hair Tips - Final hour

Yes, almost time for work to be over and we are all searching the internet for interesting reads and comical pictures to keep our eyes open for this last hour. Some of you may have to stay later, but even if, hopefully, these quick winter weather hair tips enlightens you to make different haircare decisions. THIS IS ALSO FOR MALES WITH BEARDS and if you keep hair at least ½ inch.
I’m separating the tips out for those who have short hair and those who have longer hair (neck length and longer.) Winter Weather Quick Tips:

TWAs & Other Hair Length Winter Weather Hair Tips

·         Steam hair every week

·         Conditioning treatment in hair every week along with steam treatments

·         Black Hair  - add oils to seal in moisture (olive oil, jojoba oil, castor oil)

·         Use products containing humectants and fatty acids

·         Conditioning Treatment 1-2x’s /week with oils to handle “fly aways” and lock in moisture

·         Refrain from over-using products in hair

*** For thinning hair, don’t overuse conditioners. Use regular conditioners with washes and leave-in conditioner for hair followed by dry-on oils vs other oils that can weigh hair down***
*** For thick hair, refrain from applying conditioner at the root of hair ***
For static hair, try using Bounce (dryer sheet). I haven’t tried this myself, but I experienced static hair a lot when my hair was shoulder length. It was THE MOST ANNOYING THING EVER…that would then cause the hair to break as it catches clothing and retains static.
I’ll find more tips I can share, but in the meantime, be effortless and develop your winter regimen for your specific hair needs. MuAh & CiAo! Add me on IG @lofanaturalista
